For an excellent lunch or dinner repast, a dining
experience like eating in the kitchen at grandma's farm house, and a full
satisfied feeling without
that brick in the gut feeling that is often the
bane of eating typical Tex-Mex
food... Reyna's is the place. 411 South Garfield
Street, Parkland. About
one block east of Pacific Lutheran University, in
the midst of some of the
finest restaurants in the county. Open 11 AM to 10 PM every day,
Felix and Reyna Guzman are the owners and complete
staff. This is Mexican at
its finest... lowered fat cooking methods and bright, authentic, full, home
style
flavor and textures. The chips and salsa are made in house and available
for take
home. Beware...you will find the store bought stuff pale by
comparison. The level of
energetic cooking noise, the huge menu and the
wonderful aromas emanating from the
kitchen are belied by the fact that only one
person works the kitchen... Felix. There is
a pending beer/ wine license. These folks work real hard...
and it shows. Rates 5 stars.
